He makes her a joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 113:9)

This little boy is very, very special to me.  His mom and I have been friends for several years.  We met when I was pregnant with my fourth child, she was training to be a doula and we hit it off right away.  She was with me through the birth of my fourth child, and a few years later the birth of a fifth.  She was also a rock I clung to when, between my fourth and fifth delivery, I suffered a miscarriage.  During all of this, my friend was struggling through pain of her own – the inability to conceive a child.  She and her husband had been trying to conceive for ten years.  I can’t even begin to express to you how my heart hurt for her and how I cried out to the Lord on her behalf.  We began to pray that we would conceive at the same time, and go through our pregnancies together.  Over a year ago, God answered that prayer.  This is Kaden, the little boy who was loved before he was ever conceived; prayed for, longed for, and given to his parents as a blessing from the hands of God.

I could have never dreamed that the Lord would ever bless me with such a truly wonderful and supportive friend! I sit here now with tears trying to think of enough descriptive words to express myself but the words are just not meaningful enough. Thank you, Rina, for being such a source of joy in my life. Thank you for capturing our beautiful gift, Kaden, on camera in the special way that only you can. Thank you for inspiring me every day. Thank you, God, for giving her to me.

I love you, my friend. Beyond words. I am so thankful for your friendship, so blessed to have you in my life, and SO THANKFUL to God for that beautiful little boy. Over the past seven months, I have watched you BLOSSOM. It warms my heart to see you “coming into your own” as a mother and a wife. You may not see it, and you may not have noticed it, but you are more confident, more passionate, more spirited and if possible, even more caring than you’ve ever been before. You’ve settled into motherhood beautifully and naturally and it’s a joy to see. I’m honored that God has allowed me to be a part of your journey and blessed to have you in my life. I love you!
